Descripción de investigación: Estudio de procesos ecológicos y funcionales afectando el ciclo del carbono en el compartimento oceánico, con especial énfasis en los sistemas marinos costeros afectados por descargas de ríos y por surgencia costera, y cómo el flujo génico y la historia ecológica propiciada por los gradientes geográficos, pueden controlar las respuestas biológicas al cambio climático.
