Visa application must be initiated online completing the form linked: https://tramites.minrel.gov.cl/Solicitudes/visa.aspx

After successful filling the application form, the applicant will receive an email notifying if the visa requested was approved or denied.

It is suggested this procedure should be done at least 2 months before the day that the applicant start traveling. It is also advised to not buy an airline ticket before having the visa approved.

TOURIST VISA APPLICATION FOR TRAVELING TO CHILE

Requirements for visa applying procedure will vary according to the interested parties’ country of origin, please refer to the consular procedure system: https://tramites.minrel.gov.cl/Solicitudes/visa.aspx

Make your application with enough time in advance, delays in processing may occur. Ensure that the visa application form details are in line with the registration process. The visa will only be issued after the process is finalized in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile.

Arriving by plane

  • The final airport destination at La Serena is Aeropuerto La Florida.
  • Best flight connections are available via Santiago de Chile with LATAM Airlines, SKyAirline,etc…It takes 1H06 min to fly from Santiago to La Serena
  • Hotel pick-up service from/to airport: most hotels offer a pick-up service from and to the airport.
  • Shuttles from the airport to downtown hotels will be provided, times of shuttles will be posted here.
  • Taxis are a common means and easy accessible. A taxi fare at daytime or nighttime from or to the airport is around 15 Euros.
