Descripción de investigación: Variabilidad climática tropical, oceanografía y clima y modelización oceánica regional, con un enfoque sobre los sistemas de borde Este. Mi investigación se dedica en particular a entender los procesos asociados a la variabilidad forczada (i.e. relacionada con la actividad antropogénica) y natural de la zonas de mínima de oxígeno en el Pacifico Este frente a Chile, Perú y México.
